What makes a truly eco friendly paint?
AURO stands out among manufacturers of eco friendly paint and wood finishes because it has always been totally committed and uncompromising in its environmental standards. Its products utilise natural materials from environmentally managed sources and are manufactured using a sustainable ecological cycle. For example, much of the raw linseed oil used in the paints is organically grown close to the AURO factory and any waste product can be composted.
It goes, almost without saying, that petrochemicals are not used in these products. The only synthetic ingredient occurs in some specialist wood finishes – a tiny amount (less than 0.3% by volume) of lead free drier, for which no natural alternative yet exists.
AURO eco friendly paint is breathable and incorporates natural plant and mineral pigments. All wood finishes are micro-porous so they don’t flake, peel or blister and are easy to maintain. Their use of natural ingredients makes them ideal for allergy sufferers and people who are sensitive to chemicals.
