Photovoltaic Solar Panels

At Alian Energy, we currently stock four sizes of photovoltaic solar panels, sold as DIY kits. They are all capable of producing clean, sustainable energy and may be used individually or combined as photovoltaic solar arrays.

Photovoltaic solar panels – the benefits

Quite simply, photovoltaic solar panels convert light into electricity. They are one of the best known sources of renewable energy and have a long track record of success. Their performance is dependent upon the availability of light, not heat, so they can produce useful amounts of energy at any time of year, even in cold, overcast conditions. Photovoltaic solar panels are therefore an environmentally friendly energy source and ideal for providing cheap, sustainable power for remote buildings and off-grid installations.

What are photovoltaic solar panels?

The solar panels stocked by Alian Energy are polycrystalline panels made from wafers of silicon laminated between an impact-resistant transparent cover and an EVA rear mounting plate. They are constructed with a lightweight anodised aluminium frame, which is pre-drilled for linking to other frames or for roof mounting, and they have a waterproof electrical terminal box on the rear.

In addition to photovoltaic solar panels, we can also supply deep cycle batteries if required.

Uses

Coupled to a charge controller you can use photovoltaic solar panels to charge batteries for emergencies or, using an inverter from your battery bank, you can run 240 Volt AC appliances. Photovoltaic solar panels are equally useful for homes and office buildings, boats, motor homes and garden buildings etc.
